Fidget Spinners & Chicken Dinnersbuilds capacity in the kitchen and gives individuals the confidence to transform raw ingredients into a healthy, delicious meal. Teens will learn cooking skills and food knowledge that supports and encourages a healthy lifestyle.
Using fresh, wholesome ingredients in familiar homestyle recipes Melissa Rankin will show you how to turn a favourite meal into one that is nutrient dense while still being deliciously satisfying. Each week we will come together as a community and prepare and enjoy one meal together while learning tips and tricks in the kitchen that can be used at home.
Artist in Residence Emily Lawrence will complement this program with a sampler of art activities using food as inspiration. Students can expect to use their creativity in a relaxing and fun environment and to be introduced to a variety of art-making skills and processes.
