Originally from Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia, Courtney completed her Bachelor of Arts at Carleton University. After five years of living, working, and studying in Ottawa she returned home, settling in beautiful Dartmouth, NS.
Courtney’s passion for youth leadership and community development has led her to the non-profit sector where she has worked in a myriad of roles supporting children and youth. Most recently working with Junior Achievement of Nova Scotia as Director, Entrepreneurship & Specialty Programs. Courtney manages entrepreneurship programs for youth in Grades 9-12 across the province.
Courtney’s belief in the importance of a holistic and trauma-informed approach to youth work and community development allows her to connect and engage with the communities she serves in an impactful way. Courtney is passionate about youth engagement, entrepreneurship, conflict resolution, LGBTQ+ issues, theatrical arts, social change, and sushi!
