Weekday programs at the MacPhee Centre are free-of-charge for youth ages 12-19. If you’re interested in taking part in a program with the MacPhee Centre please take the time to fill out the registration form below.

Art & Food

Learn new ways that food and art can come together to explore deliciousness through creativity

Learn the basics of musical theatre and work with a collective to put on an end of term performance!

Creative Ventures & Homework Drop-In

50 Queen will be open from 6-9pm on Tuesday to give youth a space to be fiercely creative and tackle homework.

Youth will have the opportunity to learn all of the basic skills necessary to successfully perform improvised theatre!

Company Program

Youth will be introduced to the world of entrepreneurship through an enterprise of their own. Participants experience how a small enterprise functions from start-up to liquidation

GSA (Gender & Sexuality Alliance) Club

GSAs are student-led clubs that support LGBTQ youth and their allies. GSAs help make communities safer by providing a space free of judgment and assumptions.

Ukulele Club

Ukulele club is a chance for youth to connect and play music together.

Photo and Film

Youth will be given the chance to learn the basics of photography and film, expanding on pre-existing skills. Each term features a specialized project that connects youth to the techniques they've learned.

This program provide a positive space for participants to explore guitar and other music concepts. Youth will have the chance to explore different genres, strumming patterns, and chords.

Drawing & Sketching

This program will walk participant through many different ways that they can use sketching to bring their thoughts and the world around them to life. Skills developed in this program will transfer into other creative endeavours that youth pursue!

Rock & Record

This program will introduce participants to the complete creative process that is involved in making the music they listen to. We will start from the very beginning by rocking out on original and favourite pieces of music then move through every step of the process culminating with a produced recording.
