Looking to get more involved at the MacPhee Centre?
The Youth Ambassador Program is a year-long commitment for youth interested in being involved with the planning of the MacPhee Centre’s programs and events along with acting as a liaison between the MacPhee Centre, their school, and the community at large. Youth Ambassadors are expected to attend monthly meetings, help shape check ins, future programs, and pursue opportunities to volunteer in the community as a representative of the MacPhee Centre. Some of the projects or tasks you may have the opportunity to work on include:
Permanent art projects that will live in the space
Caring for bees through the hive at Christ Church through our partnership with Beea Honey with Heart
Becoming a member of Jack.org
Having access to professional training opportunities such as Mental Health First Aid or Food Safety Training
If you have been registered in our programs and you’re interested in taking on a leadership role within the MacPhee Centre and beyond, this is the program for you.
If you are unable to apply through the link, you can write out the application by hand, type it out and print it then give it to one of the staff at MacPhee.
Here are some sample applications to show that they don’t all have to be written, or formally answer all of the questions. Feel free to connect your creativity with your passion to become a Youth Ambassador.
