Sarah Lefurgey is a mental health leader and advocate whose career spans policing, workplace health and safety, and psychological health promotion. A former RCMP officer, she now works with the Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia to advance trauma-informed and psychologically safe workplaces. Sarah also contributes to national research and veteran advocacy through the Atlas Institute for Veterans and Families and the National Women Veterans Council. Guided by the belief that “courage is contagious,” she uses her lived experience to reduce stigma and promote healing through storytelling and connection. At the MacPhee Centre, Sarah is passionate about empowering youth to find their voice and confidence through creativity and community.
