Spring 2022

The Spring 2022 Program Term is now live!

Programs start on Sunday, April 10 and go until Friday, June 3, 2022. All programs are free of charge. This term, programs will be a mixture of both in-person an online!

If you require any technology to be able to participate in the virtual programs, please do not hesitate to reach out to one of the staff at the MacPhee Centre.

Chart - Spring Programs 2022

16+ GSA with Courtney and James from 5:30-7:30PM at the MacPhee Centre - This Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) is for youth 16+, MacPhee Alumni & their friends as a space to reconnect and share a meal.


Open Studio with Achilles from 4-6PM at the MacPhee Centre (PROGRAM NOW FULL) - Join Achilles and learn how to express yourself through your art. Learn about gesture drawing, colour, and other art-theory basics while working on your own projects. Leave every week with a new creation!

Birds & Bees with Courtney and Rachele from 4-6PM at the MacPhee Centre - A youth-driven program in which youth ages 14-19 are empowered and equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to design and distribute their own youth-centric sex and gender education resource.

Web Development with Leykey from 5-6:30PM online - Covering what a website is, how they work, and transitioning into how they're developed- the program will focus on learning coding languages, html and css and will help youth launch their own basic website. A Mac or Windows computer with access to internet is required. Please reach out to MacPhee is tech access is a barrier.


Dungeons & Dragons with Finch from 4-6PM at the MacPhee Centre (PROGRAM NOW FULL) - It wouldn't be a Tuesday without Dungeons & Dragons filling the space! Dive into fantasy, character creation & adventure with your peers!

Table-Top Role Playing Games with Ming from 4-6PM at the MacPhee Centre (PROGRAM NOW FULL) - Come and join Ming for roleplaying games with dice and improv with a bunch of simple systems. Explore the twisted psyche of a honey badger that does crimes, lead a mutiny on an ill-fated spaceship, or tell a campfire story of eldritch horror! Everyone is welcome.

Closed QTBIPOC Space with Leykey, Jenn, and James from 6-8PM at the MacPhee Centre - This is a closed space for 2SLGBTQ+ Black, Indigenous, and Youth of Colour is youth directed and focused on meeting the social, educational, and advocacy needs of youth through safer creative spaces. Dates are: April 26, May 3, and May 31.


Illustration with James from 4-6PM at the MacPhee Centre - Looking to learn some new drawing techniques? Maybe you've got a particular style in mind. Join James in finding your own form of illustration!

MacPhee LEADS with Rafael from 4-6PM at the MacPhee Centre - Join Rafael in learning a wide range of different leadership and employability skills through mentorships, trainings, and of course lots of opportunities to get creative! This will all lead to a chance for a paid summer job as the Summer Coordinator with the MacPhee Centre. All students will gain valuable supervisor experience and will have the skills to facilitate their own programming in the future or find other great employment.

Virtual GSA with Jemma & Eilish from 4-6PM online - A virtual GSA to engage youth from across the province!


Printmaking with Maddy from 4-6PM at the MacPhee Centre - Cover various printmaking and explore the creative possibilities when you get to print multiples of your designs. Learn about relief, screen-printing techniques on both paper and fabric.

Glokal Dance with Isabelle from 4-6PM at the MacPhee Centre - Explore global and local dance moves! Join Isabelle and learn how to dance to Dancehall, Reggaeton, Afrobeats, HipHop and more!

Drop-in from 6-9PM at the MacPhee Centre - Come work on homework, a creative project, and have dinner with your peers.


12+ GSA with Xander and Destiny from 4-6PM at the MacPhee Centre - Share stories about your experiences, connect with peers who can relate, and have conversations about 2SLGBTQ+ topics.
