    BEEA Honey with Heart Program

Beea Honey with Heart is a youth-led social enterprise project where participants (ages 12-17) are responsible for managing beehives, ensuring the well-being of the bees, and educating their community on the importance of bees on a global level. There is currently a hive around the corner from us, at Christ Church of Dartmouth, and we’re curious to see what this season will bring!

    Brilliant Labs – STEAM Program

STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics! It’s a creative spin on STEM programs in that participants have the opportunity to explore all things STEM related with a twist. Whether it is producing a stop motion film with clay characters, or designing a new LEGO structure, this program is for you! We are able to run this program in partnership with Brilliant Labs – a not-for-profit, hands-on technology and experiential learning platform based in Atlantic Canada.

    Halifax Circus - Performance Programs

Halifax Circus is a non-profit cooperative of professional circus artists and teachers. In the past, we have partnered with them to bring performance and circus programming options during Summer camps, bringing their facilitators to the MacPhee Centre as well as visiting their Downtown Halifax location.

JA Company Program - Junior Achievement of Nova Scotia

JA - Junior Achievement of Nova Scotia – facilitates an entreprenurship program at the MacPhee Centre! This program will allow youth to develop a product and work together to market, manufacture, and design. An opportunity to further develop communication, team building, collaboration, and creative skills.

    Let's Sprout Clubhouse

This is a space for us to explore ourselves and our communities through creativity. We meet weekly to support each other through the day to day, and plan big for our wildest dreams. Youth are encouraged to come with ideas, passion projects, and listening ears. This space is a chance to learn from our peers and be creators in this crazy big world.

    UNITY Charity - HipHop

Through partnership with UNITY Charity and the MacPhee Centre, this program brings a new form of HipHop to the Centre on a weekly basis. Whether it is street art, breakdancing, spoken word, beatboxing and more – this is a chance to learn a little more about the history of HipHop and all the amazing art forms that come with it.
