Program Manager she/her

Daria is a youth worker, facilitator, and lifelong creative originally from New York City. She moved to Halifax in 2014 to study Gender and Women’s Studies at Dalhousie University, where she deepened her commitment to equity, community building, and social justice through both academic and extracurricular leadership.

With over a decade of experience supporting youth across various settings—from drop-in centres to summer camps to media programs—Daria brings a strengths-based, inclusive, and trauma-informed approach to every space she enters. Her work centers around empowering young people, fostering belonging, and creating opportunities for self-discovery through creative and collaborative programming.

Daria believes that youth thrive when they are seen, heard, and supported in spaces that honour their identities and lived experiences. She sees creativity not only as a means of expression but as a pathway to empowerment and healing. Her practice is rooted in collaboration, curiosity, and care—with a commitment to co-creating inclusive, affirming environments where youth can explore who they are and who they want to become.

A lifelong lover of the arts, she enjoys exploring different crafts and has yet to find a medium she doesn’t want to try at least once. Whether facilitating visual arts workshops or organizing youth-led film projects, she sees the arts as a powerful tool for personal development, reflection, and transformation.

In her spare time, she can often be found exploring nature, thrifting, crafting or hanging out with her dog Luna.
