Sheila Blair-Reid (she/her)

Sheila built Atlantic Canada’s largest magazine publishing house – Metro Guide Publishing, serving seven sectors and over 3 million readers. In 2010 Sheila sold Metro Guide Publishing and started a new company – Spring Business Solutions. She is the owner and principal consultant at Spring, which serves a variety of businesses and organizations’ needs.

During her career, Sheila was honoured to receive a variety of awards including the Progress Women of Excellence Award, Volunteer of the Year, Bell Aliant Make it Real Award as well as the Volunteer of the Year award from Kids Help Phone, Atlantic Chapter on two separate occasions.

Sheila has served on many boards and committees in support of her community. Currently, she sits on the National Board of Kid’s Help Phone, and KA’NATA Productions Inc., is an active member with SKAL Halifax (an international tourism organization) and is a dedicated volunteer with MacPhee Centre for Creative Learning. A passionate mother and wife of David (22), Carys (9) and husband David Reid.
