Programs Committee Chair she/her College of Physicians & Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)

Originally from Newfoundland, Kris has come to call Halifax home. With her first degree in the arts, she began a professional journey as an actor-musician, a foundation that continues to shape and empower her work every day. The skills honed through the arts — creativity, empathy, and adaptability — remain central to Kris’s approach, even as her career evolved into the healthcare sector through work as a paramedic.

Kris serves on the Board of the MacPhee Centre for Creative Learning because of a strong belief in the transformative power of the arts, especially for young people. As Chair of the Programs Committee, Kris brings a unique blend of artistic insight and frontline experience to help guide and support the Centre’s mission to foster creativity, confidence, and community.
