Diego Cavedon Dias (He/They)
Marketing and Communications Coordinator
Diego is a queer Brazilian graphic designer, fashion designer and costume designer, who after some time of moving around, has decided to settle down in Halifax! He believes in embracing life and creativity, and as a newcomer has found ways to become deeply involved in the NS community through volunteering at Dartmouth Players and assembling Covid tests when needed.
Diego finds passion in being able to transfer knowledge that he has to someone else, as well as through seeing costumes or graphic designs on the street and being used and celebrated. As someone who has travelled and lived in many places, he believes that if something didn’t happen, it is because it was not meant to be for you!
When Diego isn’t behind the scenes on our MacPhee social media, he can be found expressing his creative side through any textile-related things, (embroidery, garment constructions or dyeing fabrics), playing with make-up and enjoying the art of Drag, or practicing trapeze and pole dance. Basically, you can find Diego (and his 30+ tattoos!) anywhere with a hoop and a needle!
